Copper cuffs
The pandemic has canceled a lot of shows this year, but not the Yorktown Art Stroll, held Sept. 27. I was happy to have an opportunity to show and sell my jewelry and talk to people (wearing masks and socially distanced).
Some of the pieces I brought were a few new hand stamped copper cuffs. I was asked several times if wearing copper helped with arthritis or had other healing properties.
According to two British studies, wearing copper or magnetic bracelets had no effect on arthritis pain or swelling. The studies controlled for the placebo effect – my answer to the many questions I received: “If you believe it does, then it probably will.”
So even if wearing one of my copper cuffs doesn’t make your arthritis better, maybe you’ll feel happy to wear something that’s handmade with love and care.
